Article VII - Hound of the Year
Section 1: Any hound owned by a Coshocton County Beagle Club member shall be eligible for hound of the year.
Section 2: The point system will be as follows:
A. - 1 point for each hunt entry.
B. - 1 point for each show entry.
C. - 5 points for cast/first round hunt win.
D. - 5 additional points for overall hunt win.
E. - 5 points for Best of Breed win in Show
Section 3: The top 4 hounds at the end of the year will be invited to a runnoff
between these hounds hounds to determine overall winner. Top overall point leader
after the last hunt of the year will determine the format within the year that will be ran for the runoff. The format has to be a format held by CCBC within the year. In case of an AKC style hunt, a time deadline of no more than 3 hours will be enforced. Each hound will start the runoff with a point lead as follows;
Overall point leader, 2nd, 3rd, 4th.

Section 4: Judges for runoff will be selected using the following criteria. Once
a format has been chosen the Sec/Tres of CCBC will contact all licensed judges
within the club to obtain availability. Once a list has been obtained the Officers will
assemble to draw 2 judges to judge the runoff.
Section 5: The runoff Must take place between the last hunt and 1 week prior to
the Annual Meeting. CCBC will make every effort to select a date that all participants
can attend the runoff. In a case where all participants cannot agree on a date; The President of CCBC will have final decision on setting a date that most participants can attend.
Section 6: The overall winner of the runoff will receive an embroidered Dan's jacket awarded at the annual meeting.
